I have two children a boy aged 13 and a girl who will be 16 when we arrive in melbourne in june 2004, the thing is she will have left school in the uk, but we want her to carry on with her education in oz, is she too old to go, or there a college she can go to, i am stuck as i do not know what to do. Don't want her to get a job as I think education is far more important, any one have any ideas, it would be very much appreciated.

I am also sure that she could go to school here, and maybe do years 11 and 12.
yr 11 - turn 17
yr 12 - turn 18
This info is from this thread
The first school that my daughter went to only did up to year 10, so ALL students had to transfer to a different school to do years 11 and 12.
