That one might now have been us, but I did think of this thread yesterday when we were stuck out between Viccy Point & Cleveland - we literally could have walked to shore, we ended up sat in about 20cms of water for 4 hrs while the tide turned. . No flares, v-sheets or maydays for us though, we just waitied :) .

The good thing is that we now have the boat back - ready to face Moreton Bay & the 40 days til we see LordFlasheart  :D

Hmmm,

Could have been close to the barges (Sandy Island?) or up a creek looking at koalas.... :D

At least it wasnt a 30 knots SE'er :(

My idea of hell being on a boat like the QEII for months. I am sure I would slit my wrists. But if it means being hi jacked by Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom I might reconsider ;)

My in-laws were £10 poms and it was obviously the only way they could get there. MIL never talks about the trip at all. When they came back in '64, still no way they could have afforded flight so good old P&O brought them all back. Hubby just remembers spending many weeks running wild all around the boat. Sure everyone loved him for it

Creek, well the channel into it anyway - saw more birds than koalas though!
