Default SA Rentals

Hi!!!

We are due to be in SA on the 1st Feb 2010!!! i can't wait!!! so excited! 6 weeks and counting.

Basically, i wanted to know where the best place is to find a 1 bedroom apartment/flat in the CBD area or the out skirts. Don't want to pay anymore than $250per week.

Any ideas guys?? :-)

Thank you for your help

There are places. Try www.realestate.com.au . You will probably need a hotel/motel for a few weeks until you get something sorted longer term. www.stayz.com.au can help with this.

There are places around the suberbs for that price, but often two bed, one bed seems rare. They are more often than not pretty manky though.
Good luck

Honestly I think you are pushing your luck with that price range. What kind of property are you looking for and why do you want to live so close to the CBD? There are better parts of Adelaide to live in. Bear in mind that there are lots of suburbs within about a 20 - 30 minute commute (by bus or car) that are much better value with their own little communities.

Yes, you probably could get somewhere for that money, but it will be pretty dingy and small.

Have a look around the Brighton/Somerton Park area, the 2 bedroom units where we own a place rent out for around that price. It's a really nice area and only 15-20mins drive to the city centre.

And if you don't drive the public transport system is pretty good and there are always the tram and the O-Bahn.
