Royal Mail , package to Aus--how long ?
I realise that this might be a bit like asking how long is a piece of string , but--
--does any one have a rough ides how long a small package sent via Royal Mail 'signed for' from the UK would take to arrive at it's destination in Aus. ?
I don't live in a capitol City so a day or so extra would probably be on the cards.
This is of course allowing for the fact that a small package would arrive at-all and not just get swiped like about 30% of small packages.

Most things sent to me from the UK .... not that I get many things sent.... take about a week or so to arrive.

Quickest I've had was posted on Friday in UK, got here (rural) on Monday. I guess the transit was over the weekend when the fact that the post offices were shut didn't matter).
Longest is about 10 days.
As an incidental, the worst I've ever had was DHL from Germany. 5 weeks and it was predicted to take that long by the vendor.

I got a package via DHL last month from the UK and it was probably a little under 72 hours door to door.

Ditto 5 working days plus; longer of course if there are public holidays inbetween. Royal Mail fr UK to Aus has been reliable to me to date.

I've sent a few things (documents mainly) by Royal Mail Airsure recently which you can track online. North of Scotland to Melbourne has taken 5-6 days on average. Used DHL to courier some other stuff - was about 8x the price and took 4 days. Arguably more secure but a lot of extra dosh. Thankfully my
prospective employer will reimburse me all these costs :-)
Edit - just checked my latest dispatch. Posted near Inverness at 5pm on 18/4 - due for delivery in Melbourne tomorrow according to RM website. Best yet! Cost me £8.90 and consisted of about 10 A4 documents

Don't despair I have had a parcel turn up after 2 months! But get onto them quickly so that things can be sorted some are brilliant and some seem to really hate their job.

Amazes me how the quality of service is so high out in the sticks and yet seems awful in the city.

Glad you finally got it even if you did get a bit of a runaround.
