I haven't flown on them but a friend has. They are a good airline but if you want to get a few drinks during your flight you will have to drink your duty free as they dont serve alcohol....they will provide your mixers though...

You go through security and then on to departures....where you then get loaded up with your booze at the dutyfree.

I flew Business Class for the same price as an Economy seat that BA was offering.
The service was good and the food was lovely for an airplane.
They seem to be alot cheaper than other airlines.
I would rather pay less for a flight and use the extra money in Australia to get totally plastered on a night out.

http://www.airlinequality.com/Product/seat-RBA-3.htm
for economy cabin pictures etc.
Airline quality has heaps of reviews for flights on different airlines and has been my guide to flying for many years.
Hope that helps.

Re: Royal brunei
We flew over to UK with Royal Brunei and back with Air NZ and when I go back to UK it'll be with Brunei. The only thing better about Air NZ was a wee bit more leg room in Economy. Otherwise service was better on Brunei, the food was better (and it seemed to come more often), you got that wee pack of mini-toothbrush and etc (didn't get anything on Air NZ).
We didn't have any tellies in the headrests on Brunei and fully expected it on Air NZ given they were more expensive BUT they only had the big screens as well! Boring!
There were some delays at one of the stopovers but nothing catastrophic and we were happy for the chance to be out of the plane anyway. Unlike Air NZ who had us grounded in Heathrow for an extra 3 1/2 hours because the pilot "thought he could see something leaking out the wing/petrol storage"
:scared:
Because we'd all boarded but were still on the ground we had to sit there for hours with no food or drinks etc and nobody allowed to get up! It was hellish!
Interesting about Brunei: they have a rather long prayer before they take off. We found the translation a little frightening - went into great detail about everything that could go wrong! They also have a wee black thing that points to Mecca throughout the flight displayed on screen.
They were the cheaepest too when we went over. Definitely fly with them again! And we were with them in 2002 and apparently they were getting new planes with more leg room and the wee tellies on the headrests so you've more chance of getting better quality seating nowadays.
