I haven't flown on them but a friend has. They are a good airline but if you want to get a few drinks during your flight you will have to drink your duty free as they dont serve alcohol....they will provide your mixers though...

Just remember that the alcohol youtake will form part of your baggage allowance and I'm not sure how you'd go flying out of the UK at present with theliquid - need to check the latest security rules just before you leave.

You go through security and then on to departures....where you then get loaded up with your booze at the dutyfree.

I think Royal Brunei were really good.

I flew Business Class for the same price as an Economy seat that BA was offering.

The service was good and the food was lovely for an airplane.

They seem to be alot cheaper than other airlines.

I would rather pay less for a flight and use the extra money in Australia to get totally plastered on a night out.

Thats one of the reasons for looking as we would really like to fly business class as we only intend to do this flight once.

Guess i will have to do more research before i make my mind up for certain.

We travelled with Royal Brunei and we found them to be an excellent service . Food was good too , lots of room in economy and good movies on demand , tellies in the headrest etc . Also one of cheapest so suits me .

Business Class was excellent - from Heathrow to Sydney - and at a much lower cost than other airlines.

Flew with them this year. Excellent and cheap. Only drawbacks - no booze (we took our own gin and asked for mixers), the flight is longer as it stops at Dubai as well as Brunei, Brunei is a pretty crumby airport compared with Singapore or KL, and they have a reputation for flight delays. You would't want to spend 24 hours waiting for your connection at Brunei. We had no complaints at all and would use them again.

http://www.airlinequality.com/Product/seat-RBA-3.htm

for economy cabin pictures etc.

Airline quality has heaps of reviews for flights on different airlines and has been my guide to flying for many years.

Hope that helps.

We flew over to UK with Royal Brunei and back with Air NZ and when I go back to UK it'll be with Brunei. The only thing better about Air NZ was a wee bit more leg room in Economy. Otherwise service was better on Brunei, the food was better (and it seemed to come more often), you got that wee pack of mini-toothbrush and etc (didn't get anything on Air NZ).

We didn't have any tellies in the headrests on Brunei and fully expected it on Air NZ given they were more expensive BUT they only had the big screens as well! Boring!

There were some delays at one of the stopovers but nothing catastrophic and we were happy for the chance to be out of the plane anyway. Unlike Air NZ who had us grounded in Heathrow for an extra 3 1/2 hours because the pilot "thought he could see something leaking out the wing/petrol storage"

:scared:

Because we'd all boarded but were still on the ground we had to sit there for hours with no food or drinks etc and nobody allowed to get up! It was hellish!

Interesting about Brunei: they have a rather long prayer before they take off. We found the translation a little frightening - went into great detail about everything that could go wrong! They also have a wee black thing that points to Mecca throughout the flight displayed on screen.

They were the cheaepest too when we went over. Definitely fly with them again! And we were with them in 2002 and apparently they were getting new planes with more leg room and the wee tellies on the headrests so you've more chance of getting better quality seating nowadays.
