Now I've 'suffered' this road journey before and am due to do it again soon (with 4 kids and 2 dogs :scared: ) We have a Caravan to bring and thought we'd try as best we could to make it into an adventurous holiday along the way. It is too much to transport both our cars, van and dogs (only one car at present is being taken up for us at a cost of $700 plus our worldly possesions for $10,000 )



Now I know there's alot of nothing in between places but just wondered if anyone could personally recommend places (Tourist,kid friendly places) to stop off along the way. I get a feeling that the dogs will be a hindrence in getting into good holiday parks too....can anyone please convince my Hubby that getting the dogs flown will be a MUCH better option

While I'm here bothering you all can I also ask what a sensible time scale for this journey would be

a) for lone driver towing a van?

and

b) two alternating drivers towing a van but harrassed with kids and dogs ?

We would take the more direct route.

Back to the packing and tidying then.......
