Default Riverfire!

So whats everyones plans for the riverfire festival?

And are the F1-11s going to be there doing their fuel burn thing?

We've booked into the Medina right beside Storey Bridge.

Is anyone travelling in to see it?

That depends on the Insurance I think. I heard that they wanted a $20,000 insurance premium !! In case of an accident :scared:

In fact, from what I saw on the Sky News the insurance premium has rocketed because the insurers wanted to cover people going mentally insane due to watching the aircraft

So has anyone heard if the f1-11s are going to be part of it tomorrow? I've missed the news the last 2 days, and a quick search on the web brings up nothing.

Anybody know?

In the CBD today they had what looked like the red arrows - 5 red jets up in the sky roaring over the CBD it was BLOODY LOUD !!

They werent doing anything in particular just looked like they were practicing. I was on the phone to a guy in singapore he said "<expletive deleted> have the iraqis invaded or something?"

I used to love the Red Arrows - has Blair got rid of them yet, like everything else good about the UK?

Anyway, I think what you may have seen were the Roulettes, and if I remember right they have propellers, not jets like the Red Arrow's Hawks.

That was the buggers - they sure sounded like Jets maybe the jets were going over too for a dry run. I feel traumatised and think I may be going mental, now where's that compo form.

Wow !

How good was that?

We sat on the sand on South Bank beach on the waters edge so nobody in front of us. Great view.

Still cannot get over how good that was and that it was totally free. What a great city. No trouble whatsoever everyone just dispersed calmly it was great.

There was one at the start , about 7pm, and then one at the end, about 7:40pm. It probably was the same one, we were talking to the kennel owners near Viccy point yesterday and they said they watched the jet circling round there for a while, so the pilot was probably having his sandwiches and cup of tea while the fireworks were going on

We still have the red arrows, they do a fly past at the British Grand Prix every year, and as I live a stones throw from there, we get a free show!! They are good, for RAF that is. I prefer the White Helmets myself (Royal Signals Motorcycle Display Team)
