Hi everyone
Been in Melbourne for two weeks now, getting used to things slowly, still missing the UK, friends and family..
A quick question, we are moving to a townhouse in Richmond on monday. How safe it is there? And are there any meet ups around there?
Thanks
Arch and Lee

You will be safe but like anywhere in the world there are times in good and bad places you need to be careful. We are across the yarra (about 5 or 7 mins drive) near Glenferrie Road Malvern/Armadale. Alot of meet ups are either close in the CBD or down on the Mornington Pens.
Welcome to Melbourne guys.

Richmond - quality place. Where I spent all my 2.5 years in Melbourne. One in Church Street right by the river (a large tall apartment block probably still there) and then in Johnson Street which everyone will know as it's a nice cut through to Victoria - only I did not know this until until I rented the flippin place and then found out in the early morning hours!
Good places to eat and easy tram access - not that I ever used the tram but visitors loved it. IKEA round the corner I think - they were building it when I left. And an easy walk to Chapel Street...
