I want (need) to return to work and think I will need some external help as I have a degree and IT background, then after kids went in to teaching IT but have had another break recently and now not sure - anyway wondered if anyone knows if it's worth seeing some kind of careers advisor or if recruitment consultants are helpful.

I have tried applying for a few jobs on Seek but think I wont really get far that way as my CV is a bit patchy.
