Well, folks the other day I discovered that those of us who had PR/citizenship of Australia and parents abroad, could speed-up the process of their parents joining them soon here.

Can anyone comment about how this scheme is going on at the moment.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks!!!!!!
Does anyone have info as to how the response has been towards this scheme. Or how long it took to get through? It does involve a lot of money for old parents to spend.
Is it really worth it???????
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

A reasonable expectation for a Contributory Parent visa application lodged in the last week or two is for the grant of a permanent visa in about 6 to 9 months.
