Hi there. Just need clarification, re the residents return visa. My partner was granted PR in March 2006, and we are planning on going to the UK in May this year.

Am I correct in thinking that his PR status is valid for 5 years, and would only need the Residents Return Visa if the 5 years was about to or had expired.

Any info would be appreciated.

Yep, that's right.

If you look at your visa it will say something like 'valid for travel until xx date' after that day you'd need a RRV.
