Hiya

Try ourbrisbane.com. Go into Brisbane Suburbs and you get a map of the suburbs with loads of info.

We were at Edinburgh too

here you go:

Brisbane Home Rental

We were really lucky getting ours, all thanks to a BE member who gave me the landlords contact details enroute. However we are 40 minutes away from Brisbane CBD so may I suggest that you don't leave it 'til the last minute.

We pay $400 per week for a 4 bed/2 bath with use of a pool, gym and tennis court. Can get rentals cheaper or more expensive, just depends on your need.

Go for a 6 months rental.. seems the norm over here and this time allows you all to get your bearings.

Getting a feel for the area/burbs[s] is key before you commit to buying/building your own. That is if you have never been before or done a reccie....

Don't forget the search tool on here. It's excellent and a mine of information on renting etc.

Good hunting

Just come with an open mind because oz, Brisbane included, is experiencing a severe rental shortage atm. Most decent rentals don't even make it onto websites before being snapped up.

And prices are only go to rise, as the QLD govt has just announced an increase in land tax, the tab will of course will be passed onto vulnerable tenants.
