I know that hundreds of other people have started similar threads, but I could not be bothered to look these up.
We have just got our final quote through the post and if anybody is interested they are as follows:

Fox Removals : 20ft Container £3198.00
Groupage based on 680 cu ft £2584.00


PSS : 20ft Container £3256.00
Groupage based on 670 cu ft £2934.00


Anglo Pacific : 20ft Container not quoted for
Groupage based on 560 cu ft £2830.00


Allied Pickfords: 20ft Container not quoted for
Groupage based on 620 cu ft £2550.00

As you can see Allied Pickfords are the best quote, I know some people have had problems with all of the above firms I feel that you have to go on gut feeling and our opinion was that Allied Pickfords and Anglo Pacific were the best.

Pickfords 20 footer £3704
680 cuft £2870 (this is the one we are taking)

Crown 20 footer £4300 (good service but not £4300 good!!)
575 cuft £3348

we have had a quote from lv shippers £230 for 2 cubic meters hopefully this will be the computer, bike and a few work tools and anything else we can shove in the boxes and £3.50 per kilo for air frieght
