Re: Region 2 DVD Discs..........
We bought a DVD here and it would not play region 2 dvds, all you have to do is google unlocking codes for that make of player, enter the 4 digit number that correspondes with your model number and it should work. When we were in the UK we had to do the same to allow it to play DVDs from the US.
Most if not all DVD players are multi regional but the manufacterers set them for specific countries.
A lot of the sites charge for codes, take your time and you will find ones that are free..
Hope this helps......

We had a multi region dvd player in the UK which we packed and shipped over, so no problems there. We have now purchased portable dvd players for the car so the kids can watch movies on long distance journeys and it plays region 2 with no problem. You can get multi region here but they are not in abundance as they are in the UK.

We now have a mixture of UK and Aussie players. So a top tip is to buy DVD's from somewhere like CD-Wow and make sure you buy the versions that play on both region 2 and region 4.
