car registration, bit like UK road tax, in WA it comes with 3rd party insurance not sure about the rest of the states..

We just paid for ours today....registration + 362.60 Aus.dollars and 305.20 compulsory third party insurance (inc. GST). On top of this you have to arrange your own insurance.

When we bought a car we got a huge bonus, garage cocked up so we ended up with 12 months rego!

When we bought a car here the garage got a huge bonus, garage cocked up and we were overcharged $1000!!

Well this happened to be the 1st thing we did when we landed! Hello Australia! A big wake up call in the 1st week, and it just got better from there on in!
