You have the right to appeal dont you ?
If you made assurances that youd not burden the health system, would this turn everything around ?
Maybe contact an agent (but Id make sure he was also a lawyer, not just a migration agent)
Best of luck

My daughter is partially deaf and because of the 'possible' care she may need in health and education they decided initially the cost would have been too high a burden. Our 457 was refused but we were given leave to appeal - I do not believe you have the right of appeal on 136 visa outside the country. Again SonjaNTony I am sure you have done everything and I wish you well.
Cheers

Yeah we've looked at other types of VISA as well as other countries but for now i think we'd just like sit and think about it a bit more berfore doing anything.

Looking at your signature line you are both quite young so possibly re-apply in a few years time and by then would have more history about your sons treatment, which might strengthen your case.
It cant be an easy time for you all right now. Good luck to you and your family.

Re: Refused
sorry to hear your news,
may I ask what your sons condition is, as my boy has hydrocephalus.(water on the brain) although he doesn't require medical treatment, and never has, i am a little worried as we have our meds next week & am wondering if i should declare this condition or not!

Me and Sonja will probably be leaving this forum for good now as it will probably just be depressing reading what could have been - which looked far more appetising than the U.K. but you've to make the best with what you have and that is what we will do.
So good luck and Goodbye

So, so sorry to hear that your application has been rejected. I know you must feel very disheartened at the moment but I do think the advice from another poster (about speaking to a specialist agent to get advice about appealing) is something you should consider.
Make sure you explore every conceivable option available, and if it doesn't work out, then at least you know you have tried your hardest - don't give up hope just yet.
My heart goes out to you all, and wishing you the very best whatever you decide to do.

Yeah course you can ask - He has Panhypopaturism (i think thats how you spell it), it's a growth hormone defiency where he requires daily injections of growth hormones until he is an adult.
All the best with your Application

I hear his name mentioned by the other agents as the top agent with regards to medical issues on visa's. George and Jaj talk very highly of him.
May be worth checking out before you close the book?
edit : actually the more I think about it - if you havent already - you should contact the above named agent - nothing to lose (dont take that wrong )

Well, we know exactly how you're feeling - we were rejected last week. I'm so gutted for you. Sounds like you've come to terms with it well though. I can re-iterate everyone's comments re using an agent for a bit of advice. We have been using George Lombard and he's fantastic. He, and other agents often post on the immigration forum so that might be worth a quick post just to guage opinion. You never know.
