Refund on Medical Scans??
Does anyone one know if you can get refunds on a ultrasound scan/ tests if the diagnosis was later found to be wrong?
Example: GP sends you to Douglas Hanly Pathology for an Ultrasound/ tests. Douglas Hanly then do a write up of what they found. GP also recommends you go to a private specialist with the Ultrasound/ test results taken at Douglas Hanly.
At the private specialist they repeat the same Ultrasound/ tests that you brought with you and diagnose something different stating the previous diagnosis was wrong.
So now you've paid $225 x 2 for 2 tests at different places and the 2nd one take precedence because they are the "specialist"
Anyway of getting a refund on the 1st set of tests?

Have you politely approached the first company? If not, this will be your first port of call.

Ask them, but I doubt it
We paid for a private operation that didnt work, needs to be redone, not a chance, not one bill related to it was refunded

Thats what I was thinking. They seem to be quick to take your money and do tests and scans which have already been done. Obviously easy money for them!!

It is worth asking, especially if you do it nicely
