Any thought's on Redland bay, the area info is needed as we want to explore from a good central point other areas of N Brisbane before we settle permanently. Is this a good place to start from?. Could you offer a better alternative, what is the schooling like, Is caloundra or caboolture a better choice.

If you "really" want any info on Redland Bay, it is less than 5 minutes drive south of me.
Just about the furthest south, on the coast, that I would consider as even being classed as Brisbane. Lots of house building still going on, plenty of land being developed into housing areas.
