We will be moving out in 8 weeks and I was wondering how we go abour having our mail redirected.

For the first month we have rented a place on a holiday park so we cant have mail sent there, but we hope to buy a property fairly quickly.

Is it possible to get a PO box sorted out before we go ????

You cant get a PO box unless you visit Aust post in person & show ID.

The easiest thing to do is to get your local PO in the UK to hold your mail until you have a (semi) permanent address & then put in a redirection to the new address.

We have ours redirected to a relative who then sifts all the junk mail out before sending it out to us. She has also got used to scanning thel etters and emailing them, you get them much quicker this way.

It is quite pricey to have Royal Mail redirect them out. You might be better off getting a relo to do it for you.

The main trouble with getting a PO box is you have to specify a post office location where you will collect the mail. If you don't know where you are going to live this could be tricky.

Or perhaps you could get it redirected to a trusty friend or relative in the UK? Cheaper (see http://www.royalmail.com:80/portal/r...mediaId=600008 and they can open urgent-looking stuff. (How do they know what looks urgent? Well they could send you digital photos...)

we are staying with relatives for a couple of weeks before we leave the UK so can we redirect mail to them and then redirect to OZ or can you only do this once ????
