I thought that they would be bigger than this.

Argggh you picked it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :scared: :scared: :scared:
I think it is a redback - they are small and typically found around patio chairs etc. Get some surface spray and promise me you'll squish 'em next time! :lecture:

Why!!!!!! is it on your(or somebody elses) hand??????? :scared:

Umm, from your description (small and under patio table) I'd say, yes redback.
From the pick....hmmm, probably (I see red) but it doesn't seem black enough (it's more white...)

There's some pics on this page:

No the spider was still alive but not for much longer.

Aw, poor thing died because of a mistaken identity.

I feel really awful now,I wasn't the one who killed it though.

The spider wasn't actually on my brother in laws hand he placed his hand behind it so we could get an idea of its size.

I have a program calles photoshop.
I'm sure you can do it in something like photo editor too. Just go through all the choices in the menu's in the top bar.... edit size or something.

I think your pic had a resolution of about 300 dpi (pixels/inch). I always change them to 72 dpi (that's best for internet Pascal says...) So then it's about 400 pixels in width.
umm, yeah a bit confusing.
