Well, he did say to and from the towns, as well as within them - also if he has no driving licence (there are some of us out there!) then he will need a way of connecting between them all. Flying is probably the best way.

Public transport here in Brisbane is good, but I wouldnt be basing my life around public transport in the towns you mentioned :scared: .

Between towns up & down the coast you can either travel by bus (try Greyhound & McCaffertys) or on the train (the tilt train is supposed to be good, when it stays on the rails ) Qld Rail Long Distance Travel

Forgot about that but I got exempt from the 6 months without any hassle.
The 6 months wait is very easy to bypass you just need a note from your employer saying you need to be able to drive for work or show that the public transport links are not adequate to get you to work on time.
