We haven't experienced a mossie problem at all. Rockingham (about 20 minutes to the north) apparently had a bit of a bad mossie problem and people were becoming quite ill with them, but touch wood, nothing here.

If only the same could be said for the blasted flies!!

Saw this post and had to chip in. Secret Harbour is great. Fantastic beach (Usually a fair number of waves so a great surfing beach, although still fine for kids near the shore) and a top class golf course running throughout the estate so plenty of houses/plots with views over the greens if you don't get one near the sea.

You've probably guessed that we live there, and I must admit we love it. When the trainline is completed in December, it will be a 10 minute drive to Waikiki followed by a 32 minute train journey direct into Perth CBD. Do your work/shopping then back home to catch some waves. Now that's what I call a good lifestyle!

Right everybody....listen carefully!
I've made an executive decision once and for all!!......We meet in Kings Park (apparently great for the kids) have a few beers and a chat, if we all get on (which I'm sure we will!) we could go on and grab something to eat? unless there's BBQ facilities there?

Hope that's ok with everyone....what about 3ish? let me know if you can make it and I'll pm you with a contact number because we leave next thurs and will be there so won't be posting on here!

look forward to hearing from you all....
so far on my list, I've got:
Jules & Co
LisaT
Mrs Rangerman (&MR!)
Brian & Joyce

anymore????? Rougue Trader, will you be there by then????

We went to Perth for holiday/reccie in April last year. We stayed at Quinns Rock. A ten minute walk from the beach and it was fantastic. The school nearby also seemed like a really nice place.

I wish I was going too!!

There are plenty of free BBQs in the Western Power sponsored park within Kings Park. There are play areas for the kids, a restuarant (in case you burn the food!). Just have to watch the flies. When I went there I was watching flies commiting HariKari all over my food. They would fly too close, loose control, land on a sausage and sizzle. I didn't tell anyone else though. No point wasting good sausages eh?
