Question QUIZ: Where in the world?

Ok, I really enjoyed the names-to-faces thread and piccies of where people are. So thought I'd use some of my pics to do a little quiz.

Where in the world?
I haven't been to that many places, so you might start to see a pattern.

Ok here goes.

PIC 1 (this one is easy, hint: "as flat as")

1. Pancake rocks, Punakaiki, NZ

2. Wellington harbour, NZ.

Can I have a sweety, now?

It's a good game but, come on, make it a bit harder.

Spot-on!

The lion is called Alex and belongs to my niece, also called Alex.
I had a day out in Wellington and she wanted to know where I went to, so I took Alex and took a piccy at each place I went.
At the time Te Papa was Alex's favourite place (the girl, not the lion).

Nobody's got PIC 4 yet.

big hint: It's a world heritage site in North Yorkshire.
Now anyone who knows how to make a google query should get it.

Cheers,
Chris.

Google? Schmoogle. It must be that monastery place in Yorkshire then - on a river I believe.

Now I look back, my mezquita guess was a bit random:
