Default Quick question about Melbourne weather for those that know.

Just wondering what is the weather actually like year round in Melbourne. Visited in January and the weather was lovely. To put it simpler how cold does it get in the winter and how hot does it get in the summer. Whats the most rainy months and does it rain as much as is portrayed. Do they tend to get a lot of dry months or is the weather very unpredictable? Not that I'm too concerned living in the west or Ireland

Did I hear right that you can go skiing in the winter about 3 hours outside Melbourne?

Gets cold in winter, need heating, sometimes snows in mountains outside Melbourne, nice weather in spring not too hot not too cold, in summer often get a string of a few hot days high 30's low 40's then showers and cool change takes in back down to mid to high 20's.

I imagine when you mean 'cold' you're not talking Canadian 'cold', hehe.

indeed, should ones balls be exposed they would have no more than several minutes before frost bite renders them useless.

A cold winter day in Melbourne would probably look like a nice warm spring day in Canada.
