Questions for those of you just about to get or just got Visa!!

Questions for those of you just about to get or just got Visa!!
Just a couple of questions if anyone knows the answers:
1) When the medicals and police checks are sent back to Australia how long do you normally find it takes them to grant the visa? (obviously if nothing is wrong)
2) When they grant the visa how does it get put into our passports?
3) If we have to send off our passports to where ever, how long do they normally keep them for?
4) Finally 6 year olds passport expires in April 2007 would you advise to have this renewed before the visa is stamped in??
5) If not do they just transfer the visa when we renew it next year?

Hi hun, me again
It normally takes about 4 weeks for the visa grant (can be as quick as 2 or as long as 6)
Passports get sent off special delivery and get returned the same way (you have to pay for both ways) This takes about a week
I would suggest that you renew your daughters passport now as it will save loads of hassle when yo get to Oz. All you have to do is send a form 1022 with the new info on, I did this and posted it with our Police checks.

Sorry can,t answer no.1 due to chloes wee probs.
It took 3 days for the passpotrs to come back
Our passports run out next year as well,so we will get them done asap

Wow looking at your timeline, how quick was your visa granted!! Ours was received 11th Nov and we still dont have a case officer!! Can you shove some of your luck my way!!! Pleeeeeese!!
