I seem to remember from my last trip to Brisbane that after you collected your suitcase from the carousel you had to put your suitcase through an x-ray machine (a bit like the hand luggage scanners in UK airports) before walking through the doors into the arrivals area. I also remember that the scanner showed everything! And also they take a closer look if they see anything 'unidentified' - am I correct or making this up!!?

Sorry i know you said ladies only but this thread did remind me of our trip down under for the first time last year, when we went through customs arriving in perth, the customs official asked me if we had brought sticks of rock or something with us?? i said no not at all she asked again any sticks of rock or sticks of something in the case, my wife and i getting very nervous said no of course not, the lady then showed me the screen and asked what the small 'sticks' secreted all around the case where and thats when the bloody big penny dropped, i dragged my wife to one side and said did she remember asking me to pack anything in singapore which i did being a good fella but couldnt fit the box in so i split em up all over the case!!!!!! Jesus how embarasing the customes lady smiled and waved us through after a little discrete explaining.
