The Quest Begins..!!!

:scared: :scared: :scared: Hi Everybody
This is our first post. After much research and reading through this fantastic forum, from which we have gained much info. We have just started or quest to move to oz. After speaking to a migration agent, we were informed that our easiest option would be to have a sponsor. Good news, I have a cousin who has lived in Adelaide most of his life (hooray!!) Bad news
I have never met or spoken to him!!! After spending 2 days drafting a begging letter, finally found the courage to pop it in the post. Still can't believe I have been so cheeky!!! " Hi, I'm your cousin you have never met. Will you sponsor us please!!!!" As they say blood is thicker than water, so nothing ventured, nothing gained. Anybody else tried this approach? Did it work?????
A friend of ours has recently emigrated to Perth. She is a hairdresser, who found a job sponsor ( lucky cow, she virtually ran all the way there). We are hopefully looking to move to Perth also, we like the look of Joondalup (any comments on this area?)
We have 3 boys aged 13, 11 and 8 who are keen motocrossers and have raced here for the past 4 years, hopefully they can carry that on over there.
My husband is a flexographic printer by trade, but there doesn't seem to be many opportunities for him in this area. May be time for a change of career, has 18 years experience in the building trade and property renovation (although no papers). Would it be possible for him to get a job in this line of work, through experience alone?
Sorry to go on, we are only on the first step of the long road, maybe I am getting too excited!!!
Will keep you updated, hopefully with good news

If its a cousin sponsor the only option is 139 designated sponsor route. There are lots of changes afoot and may have happened already the new rules are apparently that you have to live in the same area as your sponsor for the first 2 years and also the 139 is scheduled to become a temp visa, as I said I don't know when the changes are happening if not already you will need to look at the web site. We came on a 139 our sponsor was an uncle anyway but in a designated area.
