Could any one be able to compare the two states i.e QLD & WA with the IT (Software Development) Jobs in prospective.

I'd say probably not much difference between these two....you'd be better off in Sydney or Melbourne.

Tough question.

Most people will give you the stock standard answer that Mel/Syd are the best because they have the biggest markets. But generally those cities attract the most candidates as well. What would be really interesting is the percentage of s/w development jobs vs candidates. Anyone have those stats?

Are Telecoms jobs similar? we were thinking of going to Perth, but now are looking at Brisbane, from what I can see there seems to be more opportunities there than Perth
