hi there

i dont know if you know about this but they have scrapped the driving test in qld if you have an existing uk full driving licence

( this may cover other states but i can only definatley say qld for the time been )

i have confirmed this by going into the qld transport office at stocklands
( yesterday ) they have said that it only started on monday this week
so if you take along you uk licence and three forms of id they will issue you a nice shiney qld licence in return

( must admit that this is really going to help as i have bought the qld driving book and was about to sit the theory test )

so get down there now and get your new licences

Please can you phone them and ask what the score is on "Kiwi" driving licences, just that the Mrs has not got a UK one.

i`m pretty sure its any licence
( but as i have a uk licence i can only definitaly say uk at this point )

a freind of ours whos a kiwi is going down to get hers later today so i`ll let you know what happens

hi there

been down to the QLD transport office and got me a shiny new QLD drivin licence

the staff down there dont seem to know why the rules have changed they just have as of Friday afternoon at about 2pm when they received an email instructing them to issue licences without a theory test to the holders of any foreign licence that would normally only require the theory test

so kiwis are ok as well
