Q for IT people in Aus (BP etc)

Has there been any news on what is happening to the people that travelled on the now defunct Agency Business 457(IT areas) ?

Everyone I know is either a permanent employee or a permanent resident. I have heard of people who have had to leave but thankfully not witnessed it. I should have a look at contract opportunities.
