Ok well looks like we have got a few takers - so I have put it in the Meets-ups diary! So 17th December it is - lets say 7.30pm - can you all give me an idea of whether you are interested in eating or not? Otherwise I will work out a suitable place to meet up and we can just go for drinks (might be easier that way?)

Me n Gaz have been here 6 months now and have not yet managed to get to a meet
It'll be good to have a night out at Christmas that involves more than just the two of us

I would love to come but we dont know anyone yet to ask them to babysit

We'll organise a babysitter & come along, happy to eat if that means we will get a table & its easy for everyone to find.
Sharon, dont you have family here in Brisbane? Couldnt they look after the kids for a couple of hours, or dont they know someone that could do it?
Most people know someone who's either got a babysitter (ie paid/professional either from an agency or through friends) or knows someone who will do it for pocketmoney (often an older teenager).

we dont mind a drink or a meal although as robyn said we d have a better chance of a seat if it was a meal
