Property versus real estate website
I know I this is probably a stupid question but what is the difference between www.property.com.au and www.realestate.com.au websites?
I don't mean layout but content.
Why is there both?
Thanks

I guess the content would be the same they are just putting out a new format for the realestate.com.au web site. I guess its better because for people who do not live in the area they can get an idea of suburbs surrounding the area easier. Domain.com.au is another site that is worth a look.

Each one of them might source there content in a different way....and from experience I can tell you that there is big differences between listings on the different sites. They also differ in presentation. Some are very map based (with optional lists), where some are more list based (with optional maps).
www.suburbview.com
www.homehound.com.au
www.myhome.com.au (order by price and it puts houses into handy price brackets)
They all fight for market share and therefore listing and ad revenue.
