Guy's yes if get the job it comes with PR.
Am warming to maybe the idea of a unit apartment.

Find out in next couple of weeks if get invited to stage 1.

So the company is sponsoring you for an ENS and not a 457 visa? It's pretty unusual for companies to sponsor for PR straight away, so be sure it's actually a PR visa and not a 457 they're offering.

Richie, if you are coming you should rent first. Not only will it help you get a feel for an area but it's also going to be a very interesting 12-18 months in Perth to see what will happen with house prices. Confidence is draining in Australia at the moment (it is however relative and still better than uk) with a lot of cancelled and delayed projects. The govt wants to rebalance the economy away from mining, if they are to succeed in this they will have to drive down the aussie dollar which means any cash you bring over will buy you a higher amount of dollars. Good luck whatever you decide to do.

In terms of land and build, be careful when it says $300,000 as it will only be for the land in most cases.

My advice get over here and rent for at least 6 months, you'll have time to explore areas and see how things work.
