had lepto probs with one of my 2 spingers....


tested positive first time round so had to be re-done.... beacuse it was Xmas and there was all the usual bank holidays the results were not forthcoming...

we got a phoncall from the vet at 5pm the DAY BEFORE the dogs were due to fly.... test had come back with same level (1/100) so doggy was ok to go!

both the dogs had their lepto on the 1st may under advice from the vet... had it been any later there would have been no lepto. dogs were tested between xmas and new year so that gives a rough timescale.


both dogs are here fine and mostly well. 3yr old (the older one) had a bit of a rough time in quarantine resulting in loss of lots of weight and a very nasty ear infection. sadly quarantine neglected to call the vet to the dog so by the time i found out about it, it took much more vet work to sort the ear out... thankfully a 2 week dose of anti-b's and some ear drops have sorted it right up... and thanks to some woollies sausages the weight is going on nicely!


would go through the whole thing all over again just to see the joy in their wee faces when they're running about in our huge yard!!! awww bless!!!!
