Private schools in Perth
We will hopefully be in Perth by jan 2007. I am starting to look at schools for my daughter who will be 7 by the time we arrive. She currently attends a private prep school that feeds into the larger academic secondary schools. Can anyone recommend good private primary schools that focus on
academic achievement alongside an excellent extra curricular program? The fees are not really an issue and although I would prefer coeducation I am not against single sex if these schools are better. Is it difficult to get pupils into the schools at this stage, will there be large waiting lists or can you get chance vacancies? We are hoping live around the Wembly Downs area.
Thanks
Michelle

FWIW...
St Bridgid's (est. 1929.)
St Mary's (est. 1921.)
Scotch College (est. 1897.)
Santa Maria (est. 1938.)
Christ Church Grammar (est. 1910.)
Aquinas College (est. 1894.)
To name only a handful.

From where you are going to be located I would get her into St Mary's.
This is an excellent all-girls school which is 'twinned' with Hale School an all-boys school in Wembley Downs itself.
St Mary's is not actually in Wembley - it's slightly north - but only about a 5 to 10 minute drive and a very nice drive - next to the ocean and against the flow of traffic.
Fees are around $12000 per year plus extras.
