Milk is good/bad for you.
Sunlight is good/bad for you
Red meat is good/bad for you

and on and on ad infinitum...
Would you drink a cows urine?

No?

Then why would anybody drink any other excreted bodily fluid from another mammalian species?

...or chop it up into pieces and eat it?

Perhaps because I'm not a Veggie Viking, prepared to live on three chestnuts and a bowl of mung beans a day.

Chopping it up and eating it is purely natural. We are a carnivous/omnivorous species. They are part of the food chain.

What if you were stuck on a desert island, with no food or water. The only thing on the island was a cow. What would you do?

Cows milk is not a natural dietary food for humans. Nor is it for cows that have been weaned, or any other mammal for that matter.

Hardly the same thing and a highly unlikey scenrio for 99.99999% of the worlds population. This is something that is an extreme that would only happen if you were the victim of a shipwreck and then it all comes down to survival. Yes cows milk will keep you alive, it could also give you leukemia.

For what its worth we also consume far too much meat. It should be about 5% of our diet.

If you want to improve your families health I'd strongly recommend you buy a copy of Foodmatters. Its a real eye opener....

http://www.foodmatters.tv/

P.S. I have no financial interest in this company or its products.

Humans do a lot of things that aren't "natural". If we wrote them all down on a piece of paper, I think that "drinking milk" would be pretty low on the rankings.

I find your stand against drinking milk to be peculiar and bizarre. Perhaps even a little eccentric.

So could a million and one other things. Eat what you want and when you want to IN MODERATION. Life is for living, not for worrying about every last poxy thing you put in your mouth, on your body, in your house etc etc etc.

Sorry, that's rubbish. Our very first source of food was meat, until as a species we learned how to farm, and even then our species hasn't evolved to eliminate meat from our diet.

Why is it bizarre? Bizarre maybe to you because you have been raised with consuming milk. The majority of the worlds population don't consume milk and it is only popular in the western nations.

Why do you think that after the age of about 4 or 5, 50% of humans can no longer digest lactose?

What is on the supermarket shelves is so far removed from what actually comes out of the cows udder that it can hardly be called milk.

I agree with everything Deancm says.

It has also been linked to Breast cancer due the Bovine Growth Hormone (BGH).

The fact the UK, USA and Australia allow high levels of pus (white blood cells) in milk for sale was enough to put me off it forever.

http://www.milksucks.com/pus.asp

On a personal note, I have never felt better since since giving up milk and dairy. No more tiredness, fatigue or bloating and the small amount of excess weight is finally shifting.
