Default prescriptions in oz

Hi. i'm travelling to australia in 5 weeks on a student visa. I currently require inhalers to control my asthma and allopurinol to control a kidney disfunction. I need to know what i do about getting prescriptions in oz and if anyone knows roughly how much they might cost me. Many thanks

To get a prescriptin, you will see a doctor. You will be required to have private medical cover if you're here on a student visa, so you can claim part of the fee back from your insurer. You will have to pay for your prescriptions, but as for price, you will have to shop around. Again, if your private cover includes Rx then you can claim part of it back.

I think inhalers are about $20 a pop.

You can get ventolin over the counter at a pharmacist without a prescription.
