Prescription drugs
Hi all!!
how do we go about getting prescribed drugs in OZ ie inhalers, contraceptive pill etc. Any info would be much appreciated.

You are ok to get them in, get a letter from the doctor stating that medicine it is and make sure you declare it.

Sorry, wasn't sure whether you meant getting drugs into Oz or actually getting them once you were in Oz? If its bringing them in then just get a letter from your doctor and declare them when you come into the country. If its getting them once you are here, then just make an appointment at any GP and they will sort you out.

For the pill you need to see a doctor, get a prescription and pay for it. For an inhaler, just get one over the counter in the chemist, no controls on those

I think only Ventolin is sold over the counter you have to have a prescription for Bricanyl which is used in our house.
Prescriptions are not free so medication becomes costly depending on how many people take.
