We have just received the good news that our (employer sponsored) permanent visa has been granted today.

Not a true Prestonian - only lived there for around 5 years. I am a cheshire girl at heart

Thanks for all the congrats. Now i need to keep hold of the husband and buying the expensive toys..... he has been chomping at the bit for a motorbike but we have kept a sensible head on until we had PR. Now we can go look for our toys - either that or remain sensible and keep saving for a house

It's a huge relief to get PR when you've been living with a temp visa! Almost like the sword of Damocles has been sent off to gumtree

Congratulations!

Very much so. Husband and I had both a few very stressful weeks with work and more to come, we were starting to hit the brick wall. The news just gave us such a sense of relief and energy burst and it does feel likea wright had been lifted now.
