Default Postings - Abusive or Off-topic

A few people have complained about some of the postings in these forums recently. So this is just a gentle reminder :

Abuse. If you disagree with someone, fine. Say so in a civilized way, preferably backed up by facts/reasoning/stats. If you want to hurl abuse at someone, exchange email addresses and do it privately. Not everyone wants to see your personal spats.

Off-topic. Blatant off-topic messages will be removed. If you want to advertize something, then use the Marketplace. If posting an Immigration or Travel question, it's really helpful to have 'OZ' or 'NZ' at the beginning of the subject line.

Let's remember what these forums are for - to exchange information and help each other. There are many people who provide valuable assistance and advice free of charge - George Lombard, Alan Collett, Jeremy, Raffi, plus many more - you know who you are. I would hate to think that any of these people might get fed up with the content of the postings and find something better to do with their time.

Cheers,
Paul Read.
