Default Posting Christmas Cards to UK

Are there cheaper rates for posting Christmas cards to the UK, or do you still have to pay for the $1.80 stamps?

Or.....is it cheaper to send them all in one big envelope to someone in the UK and get them to post them over there?

(I just know someone is going to tell me I'm too late to post cards in time for Christmas to the UK !)

Thanks
Judy

$1.10 is the normal card rate, but Aussie post always does cheaper deals for Christmas cards.
$1 is the going rate this year. (2 years ago it was a mere 80c)

Just what I was going to say ;-)
Apparently DHL are doing a special at 80c per card see here.
I did consider sending them to one person in the UK for posting on but that really isn't cost effective.

Nah, I thought it would be easier as they were all going to the same address anyway, I was quite surprised it was only 20c cheaper.

Does anyone know the last posting date for cards to the UK? Have heard that it's the 9th but want to make sure I've not missed it!
