Posting Chocolate and sweets?
#1
Was just wondering if it is O.K for family/friends to post chocolate and sweets etc from the U.K to Oz?
I know airport customs are very strict on these matters, but don't know about Oz post.
If anyone has done this, or had stuff sent, was it allowed?
TIA

Hi, I had my parents send me some cadburys dairy milk chocolate and they sent me 3 large bars. They all arrived safely, but didn't last the week so just ordered some more. We are in Melbourne.

If you look on the AQIS website, it tells you which nuts are o.k. and which ones aren't allowed.

I miss foodie stuff from the UK and get it sent all the time.
I get regular consignments of M&S Gold Tea bags which pass Customs no bother. My sister has just posted me some homemade Scottish tablet- wrapped in greaseproof paper and plastic bags and again no probs. It is like gold to us-we are saving it for Christmas. I have found a local British shop for our Marmite and Helmans cravings.
The only thing that has been a disaster was chocolate sent seamail which arrived all white and disgusting after its journey. It was inedible.
