Redback definitely is. Mainstream Australian lagers are the same as the Stella, Kronenburg, Fosters etc that are sold in the UK and are great if you are out on a session with mates.

Not at all. We are all different G and have different tastes. The fact that I think UK beers are shite is my opinion and I am puzzled about why that winds you up so much.

It doesn't wind me up

I think it is simply part of this caricature you have created for yourself recently.....the right wing rhetoric and dogmatic statements and 'I'm alright Jack' attitudes are part of it as well

I think it does - anything on BE that is not praisworthy of the UK does.

What's having a right-wing viewpoint (and what's wrong with that?) got to do with tastes in beer?

I think we might just be heading into Bizarroland territory again

Wonder if that was intended as a pun on this beer-themed thread. I'll certainly be looking into your grain brewing methods when I have some spare time.

Incidentally, what is a good socialist beer nowadays ?

Well bully for you.

Variety is the spice of life. Open your mind and accept that we are all different and you will be a better person for it.

Let's get this thread back to beer - even shite British beer!

Ahhh... all this beer banter has me more at ease about my stay in Australia. I've been stuck in Shanghai for a couple of months and getting decent beer here is near impossible.

Can anyone recommend a good brewery/restaurant combo in the Brisbane area? I like my beer the blacker the better. Beer+Syrup=Beerup?

I had never seen this, and I want it!
