Default Possible move to Melbourne

Hi, just want to 'sound' out some ideas about moving from UK to Melbourne. I'm a primary school teacher and have two secondary aged children, so schools/education system key to decision making. Anyone got any thoughts on areas? immigration visa situ?/ those hidden things folks don't think about!!! Thanks guys x

You need to see if you qualify for a visa first.
www.immi.gov.au will help

Hi, primary school teachers both native Australian and immigrants normally have to do a couple of years rural teaching before they are accepted for jobs in cities. We recently employed a new teacher at my daughters school and there were loads and loads of applicants.

I recommend you research whether the above applies to you as you might find you are forced to live somewhere remote and a long way from Melbourne where they have trouble getting teachers when you first get here in order to get a job. This might influence your decisions.
