PORTSMOUTH/WEST SUSSEX MEET UP???

Re: PORTSMOUTH/WEST SUSSEX MEET UP???
Hi Isle,
We're heading to Perth, Mandurah area probably. We lived in Brisbane for a year in 2006 but I couldn't settle and didn't like it, so we moved back to the UK. BIG MISTAKE!!!!! Regretted it ever since! We already have permanent residency visa's so we're all ready to go. Just need to sort out the house. All the reasons for leaving in the first place are still the same, so we're off again - much to the family's horror!!!!! I think we needed to come back to realise how bad things are here and how good things were over there - we realise now that it was the area we were living in that we didn't like, not Australia as a whole!
See you Monday
Lynn x

Hi Fiona
Just checked the 5 day forecast on the Beeb and Monday has thundery showers! On this basis I think the Farmhouse is the better option! Like you I prefer the picnic but bank holidays never seem to be that clever weatherwise. I think someone mentioned that the Farmhouse has a garden which we can fall back on should the forecasters get it wrong!?!? I'll bring the roo and flag and aim to be there about 11.30-11.45. Looking forward to it!

Re: PORTSMOUTH/WEST SUSSEX MEET UP???
And there was me thinking no one would be on until today
Anyway, it was great to meet you all and as previously said 'put names to faces'.
Had a fab afternoon, possibly see some or all of you again in the near future, perhaps at another meetup or even in Perth

It has a play area which is now closed as it has flooded - no idea when it will re open.
The service was terrible, close to an hour wait for food that no no better than average. Perhaps this was just an off day.
If we want to book no problems BUT any booking for more than 15 has to pre order food requirements but they can put us in the conservatory/function room almost next to the play area.
Anyone else going to Lyndhurst who might want to try out The Mill?

Hi Fiona, Carl and all other hopeful expats
Good to meet with some any of you on Monday. Reassuring that we are not the only ones in disbelief about how long it all takes
We haven't even got as far as finishing the house to put it on the market and some of you were quite enlightening about that matter!! nandd!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys!! On a positive house front, we've found somewhere for mum to move to which means that she is now not coming to Oz (mixed emotions there! - damn, no babysitter!)
Still so much to do and still no visa - still very impatient!!
Myrtle - I can't believe I didn't recognise you guys. Just as well we took the kids! I did remember Johnnyyt though! Hopefully see you all at the next meet!
Thanks for organising it, Basty!!
