Seems like a silly question, but won't the water run out?

We had a pool built on a slight slope and had to have the shell sides shored up and a 4ft retaining wall built around it. The steeper the slope the more reinforcing you will need, so will be dearer.
We used Luxury Pools in Helensvale (Gold Coast) and had no problems at all.

Have you not thought of digging out instead of filling one side up and having an above ground pool with decking around it? I have seen quite a few of these on uneven land and they look fantastic when finished, not to mention it would work out alot cheaper than an in ground one too.
We had an inground pool fitted by a large well known company a couple of years ago and had nothing but trouble with them, so whatever you do go for recommendation of at least 3 or 4 people to avoid the hassle we had.
Good Luck ,i hope you sort something soon, they are a lifesaver in this weather, lol.

Ours is sloping. 2m deep pool. One side is above ground by about 1m. It has decking over that with all the pool equipment under the decking. Not sure how the price compares with filling the other side in. Was already there when we moved in, and I think it was built by http://www.fantasiapools.com.au/ around 2004

Re: pool builder for sloping site in Brisbane?
cant help with a pool builder in Brissy cos we are in Vic, but we are on a fairly heavily sloping block,
Ours is a rise of about 10m+ over about 50m. We solved the problem with a double 80cm retaining wall, and used the fill from the pool to level out the next area to lose the slope.
We needed landslip permits and permission to build which was a pain & expensive, but we did finally get it.

we were happy with porpoise pools, but i know that they have got a lot bigger now and im not sure what they are like.Peter is the owner, top guy,he was willing to build close to our retaining wall when others wouldnt touch it,its also close to the house but we have a waffle pod so apparently you can.

We're on a huge slope and ended up having a 1.2 metre retaining wall to the house, which is straight off the veranda and then the dirt taken out to make the pool was dumped behind it to create another retaining wall below the pool. Had to also cut and build around the evaporation field. Bit of a nightmare job but looks brilliant. Couldn't tell you the actual angle apart from mega but it can be done.
Good luck with yours.
