Pompey meet up
Hi - if anyone's up for a Pompey meet up, suggest some dates for when you're free (weekend would probably be best) and we'll choose somewhere where we can take the nippers... any ideas? What weekends are people free in October/November?

Re: Pompey meet up
If all goes to plan we'll be in NZ by October, but if current progress is anything to go by then we may be around still for part of October.
We are spending weekends with my in laws near Eastleigh and if we are still here, would love to catch up with anyone in Pompey.
Regards
Southerner

Any weekend would be great except for the 4th/5th October for us. We both work weekends but can be flexible. There are a couple of decent pubs with play areas.

Suggestions for meet up:
The farmhouse - bit noisy for those without kids, but has 2 play areas
The Baffins - quiet with small play area
Charlie Chalks ?
Brewers Fayre near the Hard - small play area, good food
Bowling at Bowlplex Gunwharf - could be fun, depends on age of kids
Wacky Warehouse - think its being done up and you can't drink and watch the kids
Any other ideas?

.....having said that..if there's quite a few of us then it's probably best somewhere else, family area is quite small & can get busy...(not sure about in Oct though)

Is it just me but was your other posting regarding Southern meeting hijacked?
Anyway we would love to come, three children, so hope play area is good - 1 two year old - a 32 and a 34 year old……
Pompey, Fareham or Soton would be good.
We enjoyed last meet up in Romsey, (took a while to find ourselves - should we all wear bush hats this time?)
Just pick a date and see if everyone’s free!

Re: Pompey meet up
OK... 18th or 25th October? Post back times or venue
suggestions and we'll go from there - will try to decide in next couple of days (we're getting booked up - relatives bit worried we might be going somewhere distant...)

Looks like the Farmhouse is on unless someone can come up with a better suggestion? (Farmhouse gets pretty hectic on a Saturday - might not be too bad if we get there early and nick the tables we want).

Sorry Larissa, didn't mean to hijack your previous thread, Tinaj and I had been discussing a Brighton meet just before you posted it, so i thought I'd just see if anyone fancied coming this way...course it now looks like they'll be on difefrent days, so maybe some people would be able to make them both?
I'll slink back to the Brighton end of the forum now...

Hi guys,
We would all like to come to your meet up - Pompey is closer to us than Brighton. There are 4 of us - me and my husband and our 2 kids - 11 and 2. Any weekend in Oct/Nov is OK for us at the moment so keep us posted on where and when. Might need some directions from the motorway though!

OK then, lets go for it... how about the 18th October, at the Farmhouse, 2.00pm. Let me know if you can come - if there's not enough takers we'll try a different day. Will pm directions to those who ask later (got to get child to school now). Hopefully it won't be too hectic... maybe we won't care after a couple
