Default Police Check Forms?

Hi Guys,

Can someone please tell me how to go about sending off the police checks. We are going skilled independent but have not had them requested yet, we applied in Nov 03.

Do we need to send both forms 1101 (police records check) and form 80 (character assessment).

Please tell me where do I send them, which one do I send to the local Police station and will it be ok to send them as we have not had our medicals yet?

Sorry for all the questions, hope you guys can help.

These forms are not for pollice checks outside Australia, All you need to do is go into your local police station and ask for a subject access form.

You sure my wife still doesn't have to lodge form 80? Yes, we're outside of Australia. We're lodging everything later today, so I don't think it'll hurt.

It won't hurt and there is an outside chance DIMIA may request it in the future which could slow down a spouse visa. The form is available from www.immi.gov.au/allforms .

Already have it filled in. The wife complained about all the questions!

The form certainly stretched my memory and the 10 year old bits were sketchy to say the least. That was for final stage processing here last August. I did not include it for the first stage.

I got told that you can post form 80 even prior to your appliaction being lodged - you don't have to pay to lodge that one.

I found it more arduous than most of the other forms.

what irked me most was the amount of repitition there is about the whole process. The same data cross entered I think 4 times.

Probably done to catch contradictions and possibly done in an effort to minimize contrived relationships from entering Australia.

It's arguable whether it works or not.
