Hi Timber,
I was kinda wondering if someone else would set up the whole thing - I'm not very technically minded!!!
Something along the same kinda lines as the Adelaide one, would be good, info on nice areas to live, good schools, bulk billing doctors, property guides, activities for kids, maybe a weekly / monthly cost of living guide, that kind of thing. Also, a how to get yourself started type of thing: where to go to register for stuff / addresses etc .
I don't want much eh?!

Incidentally there is a good site i posted on a thread earlier for brisbane,

This probably removes the need for a new site !

Maybe so, think it would be good though to have a specific chat board maybe, helps to cut through so many different posts and get to the info people are really looking for.
Have started a new thread asking folks for info on Bris and see what comes back.
Will check out that site tho.
Cheers,

There will still be things that we can add to ours though!!

I was thinking music for the webpage but it has to be something related to an australian feel plus a yukky midi file.
So think on and post your idea. Winner gets his/her idea used as the tune for the webpage !!
I reckon its gonna be men at work "down under", I could be wrong

Something like:
I want a home among the gumtrees,
with lots of plum trees,
a dog or two and a kangaroo, verandah out the front,
clothesline out the back,
and an old, rocking, chair!
Ok, looked it up and found this page:
http://home.iprimus.com.au/michellejbailey/songs.htm
All nice songs.
Home Among The Gumtrees
W. Johnson and B. Brown
I've been around the world a dozen times, or maybe more,
I've seen the sights and had delights on every foreign shore,
But when my friends all ask me the place that I adore,
I tell them right a way.
Chorus: Give me a home among the gumtrees, with lots of plum trees,
A sheep or two, a kangaroo, a clothesline out the back,
Verandah out the front and an old rocking chair.
I'll be standing in the kitchen,
Cooking up a roast, with Vegemite on toast,
Just me and you, a cockatoo,
And after tea we'll settle down, beside the hitching post,
And watch the wombats play.
There's a Safeway on the corner,
And a Woolworths down the street,
And a New World's just been opened where they regulate the heat,
But I'd trade them all tomorrow for a simple bush retreat
where kookaburras sing.
Some people like their houses built, with fences all around,
Others live in mansions, or in bunkers underground,
But I won't be content,
Until the day that I have found
The place I long to be.
Ok, maybe not the right one for Adelaide
