Please answer Important Questions?
I have a few questions about newly arrived migrants in Australia under Subclass 175 GSM or 176 State Sponsored Skilled Visas.
1. What is waiting period for two years? Does this period applied on both Subclasses 175 &176 and does migrants are eligible to receive most social security payments? 2. Does social security payments includes i.e., rental assistance, education allowance, jobless allowance and children under 12 years allowance? 3. Does this mandatory for migrant to remain in the State or Territory for a period of at least two (2) years if he has SS subclass 176 visa? 4. What are complete surveys for Subclass SS 176 visa? Moderators please shed some lights on the above questions with their experience. Thanks Cheers |

She wasn't having a go, she was simply explaining that Mods on here don't do the same job as mods on other forums. Many people new to this site don't realise we are not 'experts'. We're good but we're not THAT good ;)

Really appreciate such nice response showing your apprecitation for forum's visitors as well, your answer is not aggressive at all and it looks really that you can see that the poster wouldn't mean anything wrong.
Just a question. Thanks Romeosd |

Thanks Cheers In brief and as per my little experience, you are not entitled for any payments before completing 104 weeks as permanent resident in OZ, I am talking about subclass 175 because I know less about the 176. And below is the source of information you are looking for: http://www.centrelink.gov.au/ Thanks Romeosd |

Re: Please answer Important Questions?
I have to agree with wannabe in oz. I can't believe that you considering the benefits you can receive. It really irks me when immigrants have this attitude. And I am a little annoyed at how easily the Australian government gives out money to those that really don't deserve it and then taxes everyone else rather highly (compared to other countries). I am about to find out the extent of it when I return to live there this year.
For the record, I am an Aussie who immigrated to the Uk on an ancestry visa and then became a permanent resident. In the 4years that I had my ancestry visa I was told it was on the condition that I had no recourse on public funds. This did not bother me as I didn't rely on public funds when I lived in Australia so I had no reason to believe I needed any in the UK either. I worked my butt off and set up my own company with my husband and have made a go of it. I believe if you immigrate to a country you should be going because you are going to contribute to that countries economy not be a drain on it. |
